EU €3 duty for low-value parcel imports changes on 1 July 2026

EU €3 duty for low-value parcel imports changes on 1 July 2026

Please note the following for all orders from EU member states.

From 1 July 2026, the current duty exemption - de minimis scheme - for low-value imports into the EU will be eliminated. For goods imported in a shipment with a value of €150 or less, a €3 customs duty, mandated under EU law, will apply per item/tariff line in the customs declaration.

We are based in the UK and ship around the world and unfortunately have no way of avoiding these tariffs as we do not hold stock in the EU.

The new duty and fee structure for all EU orders equal to or under €150:

  • Fixed Customs Duty. A flat-rate fee of €3 per line item - equivalent to HS or commodity codes - will apply.
  • Handling Fee. The EU proposes a €2 consignment handling fee.
  • VAT. Will now be charged for all EU purchases and will be collected seamlessly by the IOSS scheme from us. You will not get an additional VAT charge.

For all orders after 1 July 2026, we will increase our shipping fee by €3 to cover the cost of compliance with the EU legislation. We will not absorb the €2 handling fee which is likely to be charged directly to you, the buyer, by your local delivery company. We will provide our IOSS details for reference.

Because the €3 charge is per line, it's easeir to integrate into our one-off shipping charge due to the majority of our customers ordering only one line item per consignment. This increase applies across our website, eBay store and Amazon listings.

This is a temporary measure before EU Customs Reforms in 2028.
