New website for electragolf.co.uk

Electragolf has been building its new website - www.electragolf.co.uk - over the last two weeks, marking a change in appearance and user-friendliness.

Having operated on the powerful, but resource-intensive, Magento platform for the last decade, a move to Shopify gives us the opportunity to manage everything in-house, rather than outsourcing to external web-developers and hosting suppliers. 

As this frees up resources we can pass these savings onwards to you, our customers, and invest in more lines of stock and brands: look out for Cobra T-Rail iron sets, Callaway fairway woods, Izzo GPS units and TaylorMade Carbonwood drivers arriving early next week. 

We will gradually be moving to our own website being the only place you'll see all our stock. eBay and Amazon charge retailers very punchy final order value fees of between 15% and 20% so www.electragolf.co.uk is where we can offer our customers the best prices, usually at least 15% cheaper than both. 

While we've previously viewed this unavoidable fee on each transaction as a marketing budget, Google and other providers have proven superior value in driving users and sales. 

Meeting the unnecessary and increasing compliance bureaucracy on Amazon in particular absorbs a lot of management time and this is better spent expanding our own sales channel, sourcing products and writing blogs like this. 

Electragolf holds all stock in our own facility ready for immediate shipping, regardless of whether you're buying via here, eBay or Amazon. Shopify allows us to monitor stock continuously and not require the multi-site warehouse and in-shop versatility of Magento which is designed for large multinational businesses. 

Shopify also manages our secure payments via debit or credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or its own proprietary Shop provider. This offers more payment options without having to integrate these via our previous Magento provider. Shipping integrates directly with our preferred carriers Royal Mail, Parcelforce and DPD.
