US Masters update after first round

Justin Rose leads the US Masters by three after Thursday's first round in Augusta and Rory McIlroy squanders four shots on the final hole to end up even and seven shots behind. 

It's the fifth time Rose has been ahead after 18 holes: this is itself a tournament record. However, he is also the only player to have led or shared the lead after each round without winning a green jacket. 

Can Rose build on his two second-place finishes after narrowly losing a play-off against Sergio Garcia in 2017 and a tie with Phil Mickelson two years earlier, both four shots behind the winner Jordan Spieth?
